What’s a rent ledger?

A rent ledger (sometimes called payment history or account history) is a record of all your rent payments to your property.

It shows:

• How much rent you’ve been charged
• How much you’ve paid
• Any outstanding balance you might owe

You can think of it like a receipt history for your rent. It’s a simple way to check if you’re fully paid up or if there’s any remaining balance due.

It usually includes:

• The date rent was charged or paid
• The amount charged by the property
• The amount you paid
• Any balance still owed or overpaid

Where to find your rent ledger

Most properties provide a rent ledger through their online rent portal, the website or app you use to pay rent. Here’s how you can usually find it:

1. Log in to your rent portal.
2. Navigate to sections labeled “Payments,” “Account,” or “Rent History.”
3. Look for options like “Download Ledger,” “View Rent Ledger,” or “Payment Summary.”
4. Click to view or download the document.

Why your rent ledger is important

If there’s an issue with a rent payment, a charge, or the rent bill Flex received from your property, your ledger provides a clear record of what was billed, what was paid, and when.
